German police fines soccer club for illegal shirt sponsoring

Yesterday, the German police imposed a €100,000 fine on soccer club AC Milan from Italy, which played a European league match against local Bayern Munich. AC Milan was playing with shirts that carried the name of an online gambling company that is illegal in Germany.

It is curious that the German police did not prevent the breach of law in the first place, but waited until the violation of law took place. As AC Milan plays the whole year round with the same shirt, it was obvious that this was going top happen.
