The Jockey Club sets agenda for Round Table

The US Jockey Club has set the agenda for the 55th annual Round Table Conference, which will be held on August 19 in Saratoga Springs, New York. The conference will focus on advanced deposit wagering and medication and equine health.

Advanced deposit wagering and its impact on the racing business will be presented by Robert Evans, president of Churchill Downs, Joe Santanna, president of the National Horsemen’s Benevolent & Protective Association, and David Nathanson, General Manager of the Television Games Network, TVG.

The issue of medication and equine health will be presented by Dr. Rick Arthur, the California Horse Racing Board’s equine medical director, Ed Bowen, president of the Grayson-Jockey Club Research Foundation, Roy Jackson, co-owner of Barbaro, Dr. Scot Waterman, executive director of the Racing Medication and Testing Consortiumand Nick Nicholson, President of Keeneland Association .
