Swedish Gaming Board to investigate gambling companies

Although the provision of gambling services in Sweden is restricted to a few single license holders, various gambling companies are listed on the Swedish stock exchange and have local management operations.

In order to control the activities of these companies, it is reported in the Swedish press that the Swedish Gaming Board has started investigations into these companies.

One of the objectives of the investigations is to establish whether personnel working for these companies are directly involved in the provision of gambling services. If this would be the case, these employees would be act against criminal law and action would be taken against them. The Swedish Gambling Board is therefore requesting personnel files and job descriptions from gambling companies.
