Masayuki Goto appointed new President, CEO of JRA

Masayuki Goto, 62, has been appointed the new President and CEO of the Japan Racing Association. He will assume office on Sept. 12, a day after current President and CEO Kenji Tsuchikawa, 70, is to step down from the office he has held for seven years, since September 2007.

Goto, a Tokyo native, joined the JRA in 1975. Over the next nearly four decades, Goto served in a number of capacities with the JRA, including Chief Representative of the JRA’s New York Representative Office, Manager of the International Strategic Planning Section, Assistant General Manager of the Public Relations Department and General Manager of the Corporate Planning Department. Goto was appointed JRA Director in 2006 and, in 2011, was named Executive Director of Racing Administration Policies, Stable System and Breeding.
